History
The Presbyterian Church of NSW have been the owners of Kirkplace’ since 1893 – when the site was occupied by the church for ministerial purposes. In 2008 plans were approved for the building of a new ‘modern church’ with a 5 level office tower above and the renovation of the two historic church buildings that face Kensington street. Each of the historic building has been sold and the church occupies a modern facility under the office tower.
